It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news that our CEO and joint founder, Patrick Leon Bray, passed away last week at the age of 85
Patrick was a true pioneer in the foodservice industry, co-founding Regale microwave ovens in 1983 with Barry Clark. Through four decades of dedication, vision and determination, he helped shape Regale into the world’s largest re-seller of Panasonic commercial catering equipment – a milestone he was immensely proud of.
Beyond business, Patrick’s life was a rich tapestry of service and creativity – from his time in the armed forces and NATO, to managing entertainment acts and working in retail. But it was in the foodservice sector where he truly found his calling. He was never happier than at trade shows, speaking with customers, and championing the industry he loved.
To all of us at Regale, he was more than a founder. He was a father figure, a mentor, and a friend. His warmth, humour and unwavering customer-first approach left an indelible mark on everyone he met.
Our thoughts are with Patrick’s family – his beloved wife, four daughters, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren – during this incredibly difficult time.
For those wishing to attend the funeral or send condolences, please contact Iain Phillips, Managing Director, at iain.phillips@regale.co.uk.
Patrick – your legacy lives on in every corner of this business and in the hearts of all who knew you.
